Lend to my well beloved wife Winnefred Mitchell the tract of land whereon I now live during her life or widowhood. Also negros: Charles, Phill, Dinah, Jude, Isaac, Milly, David, Stepney, Isaac, household furniture. Should my wife marry then one half the property be given up and divided between my children, at her death the balance to them. To my wll beloved son William C. Mitchell negros: Rachel and Joe To my beloved daughter Sally C. Lovelace negros: Liz and Aggy and at her death to her children should she have any, if not to the rest of my children. Not to be used by her husband for debts. Appoint Willam C. Mitchell, Thomas Lovelace, James Lovelace and John McHaney executors of this legacy. I lend my beloved daughter Nancy Lovelace negros Amy and Charlotte, subject to same conditions of above with William C. Mitchell, James Lovelace and Nathaniel Lovelace executors of this legacy. To my beloved daughter Polley Lovelace half of my King tract and lend her negros Abram and Pat under the same conditions as above. I lend to my beloved daughter Betsy McHaney negros Violet and York under the same condtitions stated above. To lend my beloved daughter Susannah P. Mitchell negros Luce, Ennis and Fanny under the same conditions as above stated. I give her (Susannah) the balance of my King tract, horse and a saddle, furniture. To my beloved son James H. Mitchell the tract where I nowlive at the marriage or death of his mother also a negro Land and Hannah, furniture, horse and saddle. Appoint William C. Mitchell, Nathaniel Lovelace, Thomas Lovelace, James Lovelace and John Mc Haney executors. James Mitchell Wit: James M. George, William Craddock, Francis Luck, James A. Luck. James M. George and William Craddock are deceased: Francis Luck is a legatee: James A. Luck acknowledged the signature to be that of James Mitchell. Thomas B. Jones, David Nowliln, John McHaney and Francis Luck security for the executors.
