Hester Lovelace was husband of James Edmund Sr <- William Pinkney <- Asa C. <- Thomas Eugene <- Asa <- Barton <- Benjamin SHELBY - Ruth Kathleen McSwain Whisnant, 88, of 1777 Country Road, Boonville, Indiana, formerly of Shelby, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at ­St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Indiana Born August 20, 1927, in Cleveland County, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Marvin Whisnant; her parents Willard Buren and Miller (Millie) McSwain; three brothers Phate, Ernest, and Buren McSwain; and two sisters Hester Lovelace and Lelabell Washburn. Surviving are children Michael (Betty) of Easley, South Carolina, Mitchell (Vickie) of Kingsport, Tennessee, Patricia (Jim) Delano of Fort Worth, Texas, Nathan (Tammy) of Henderson, Kentucky, and Helen (Gene) Hall of the home; 10 grandchildren, David, Jonathan, Matthew and Christopher Whisnant, Cassandra Edinger, Cara Roberson, Allen and Daniel Delano, Kathleen Stanley and Elizabeth Fisher; 12 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Carson and Camden Whisnant, Emily Pewitt, Tyler Delano, Nikolas and Timothy Delano, Preston Miller, Madeline and Duke Edinger and Angel and James West. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Double Springs Baptist Church, 1130 Double Springs Church Road, Shelby. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Mitchell Whisnant and Dr. Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.
