Bonnie Inez Busenbark Larew(1918 - 2016) Bonnie Inez Busenbark Larew, 97 Bonnie Inez Busenbark Larew, age 97, a former Montgomery County resident, died at 5:53 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2016 in the ER of IU Health Hospital, Lafayette. Bonnie was born in New Market on the family farm, October 10, 1918, daughter of the late Byron and Hazel Demoret Busenbark.. She married Charles Larew on the family farm, December 19, 1937 and he preceded her in death, October 1989. Bonnie was a graduate of New Market High School and Lafayette Business College. For many she assisted her husband with operating Larew's Grocery, in New Market and Waynetown. She was well known for her delicious pies, cakes and noodles that were sold in their stores. After they sold the grocery stores, she became an 'accounts payable clerk' at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been an active member of the Waynetown Baptist Church, involved in the choir and as a board member. Her faith was strong and she often shared comforting words with those around her. She had formerly belonged to the OES in New Market. They enjoyed camping and had great adventures with the Baptist Campers. She moved to Lafayette from the Waynetown community in 2006. Bonnie had a great love of her family especially her grandchildren. She was a 'people person' and enjoyed being helpful to others. Her great sense of humor endeared her to all she met. Surviving are: a daughter, Linda (Ralph John) Hood of Avon and two sons; Ron (Susie) Larew of Millersburg and Robert (Brenda) Larew of West Lafayette. Eleven grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Rex Larew, her twin sister Beulah Stevenson and 'twins -bother Merideth Busenbark and sister Wilma Schenck and Mary Emma Loveless. Bonnie's family will greet guests, Noon - 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, following with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Raffignone and Mel Vance officiating.
