HARDIN - Ida M. Hill Chadwick, 92, of Hardin, passed away July 1, 2016, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hardin. She was born January 21, 1924, in Batchtown, the daughter of Bryan S. and Mary F. (Gilbert) Bell. She married Roy R. Hill on August 6, 1938, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1988. She then married Paul H. Chadwick on June 29, 1996, and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2000. Mrs. Chadwick loved baking cakes, crocheting, and quilting. She was a member of Batchtown Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald R. Hill of Hardin, and Thomas L. and Patti Hill of Carlinville; a daughter and a son-in-law, Mary I. and Larry McKinnon of Hamburg; a brother, Irvin Hill of Hamilton, Illinois; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Hill of Guin, Alabama; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, Roy and Paul; she is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul G. Hill; four sisters; three brothers; a grandson, Doug Hill; and a great-great-grandson, Justice Loveless. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Gress-Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Phil Grabel officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery in Batchtown.
