Roy Joseph Mandel(1930 - 2016) Roy Joseph Mandel Evansville, Indiana Roy Joseph Mandel, 86, of Evansville, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born June 28, 1930, in Evansville, to the late Ray and Mildred (Manahan) Mandel. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Margaret Ann Barton. He was a veteran, having serviced in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church of Evansville, VFW Post #1114, and retired from Alcoa. Roy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lenora (Koch) Mandel; daughter, Brenda Betz; sons, Chris Mandel, all of Evansville, and Larry (Paula) Mandel of Vail, AZ; sister, Linda (John) Hawkins Lovelace of New Baden, IL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Deacon Albert March of Elizabethtown, KY, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park.
