    3. Hi, cuzzes. Just taking time out from a busy genealogy afternoon to say hi. Working on a couple different projects today. One on the Hunt family of Barnwell/Hampton Co., SC, is fairly simple. just a matter of pulling records off Ancestry, attaching source citations, and extracting information to take a non-genealogist with no known history (to him) back several generations to a War of 1812 veteran. Nice, easy, straight-forward. The other, though is a toughie. A Herrington man who was in Amite County Mississippi Territory in 1810, in Scott Co., MS in 1850, and who died in TX. Claimed birth in SC, not known where. Family lore says he was the son of a wealth SC planter who, due to the incessant spending and party habits of his two sons, disowned them and kicked them off the plantation. Supposedly they ended up living with the Choctaws in MS Territory and marrying a Choctaw woman. The client's DNA does show a small percentage of northern Amerindian DNA, so that part looks like it has a good possibility of being true. But the main aim of the project is the discovery of the identity of the wealthy father. Nothing but a series of brick walls to try to bust through. No luck yet, but I think I have a possible lead. Just gotta dig some more to try to find documents. Soooo. back to work. Got a big ol' cuppa coffee [_]7 and am hitting Ancestry again to download docs. Y'all have a great evening! Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg
