Shelby StarShelby, NC November 1, 2016 JAMEY GOAD JR. GROVER-James "Jamey" Franklin Goad, Jr., age 44, went to meet Jesus face to face on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at his home. Born in Sullivan County, Tennessee, on Sept. 19, 1972, he was the son of James Franklin, Sr. and Connie Archer Goad. Jamey was a member of Midview Baptist Church in Kings Mountain where he sang in the choir and was the Youth Director. He was the General Manager for 15 years for Aldi Incorporation. Jamey enjoyed Fantasy Football, being a Tennessee Volunteer fan, and athletic coach for the Kings Mountain YMCA. Jamey is preceded in death by his grandparents, and his mother-in-law. James was a devoted husband to his wife of 12 years, Deborah Lovelace Goad; an amazing father to three sons, James F. Goad III "Trae", Carson Beam of Shelby, and Wyatt Goad; his three daughters, Chrissy Goad, Baylee Beam of Shelby, and Princess Emme "Emmalou" Goad; In addition to his parents, he is also survived by a sister, Julie "Sissy" Gunter and husband Kevin of Grover; two brothers, Jody Goad and wife Shannon of Mt. Holly, and David Waycaster and wife Lori of Kingsport, Tenn.; and several nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at the church. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Midview Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Mike Rice. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
