Mark <- William Asa <- Berry Landrum <- Asa C <- Thomas Eugene <- Nathan <- Asa <- Barton <- Benjamin MARK LOVELACE SHELBY-Mark Asa Lovelace, 53, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of William "Asa" Lovelace of Shelby, and the late Geraldine Blanton Lovelace. He worked 20 years as a machinist, and retired as CNA with Hospice of Cleveland County. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Will Ferree. In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons, Zack and Noah Lovelace; daughter, Ciara Smith and husband Brock; sisters, Jean Lovelace and fiancé Kenny Paxton, and Audrey Emerson, all of Shelby; five grandchildren; and nephew, Cory Ferree and wife Kendra. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev.
