William Howard Lee William Howard Lee, 88, was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Detroit to Ezra and Ova Lee. He passed away peacefully Aug. 13, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa from complications from pneumonia. William served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1945 â€" 1947. William worked at the General Motors Parts Plant in Saginaw until he retired in 1981. After retiring he moved to Florida where he lived until 2012 when he moved to Des Moines. William married Ella Jewell Maxwell Feb. 11, 1946. William is survived by his sister, Virginia Phillips of Livonia; children, Linda Kirk (Lew) of Des Moines, Billie Miller (Gary) of Midland, Diana Renn of Memphis, Tenn. and Sandra Jean Reed (David) of Rolla, Mo.; grandchildren, Kimberly Swartz (Rob), Andrea Kirk, Angela Osborn, Sherry Lovelace (Bryan), Brian Boutchard (Monica), Greg Boutchard and Randy Freeze; and several great-grandchildren, including Nick Osborn, Katie Osborn, Emma Lovelace and Kelsey Lovelace. William was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Jewell Lee; his parents, three sisters and one brother. Interment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Va. on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 at 11 am. Condolences may be sent at www.mullinsthomasonfredericksburg.com.
