EADES (Oct. 5, 1948 - Aug. 6, 2016) | Visit Guest Book LONDON - John R. Eades, 67, of London, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 in his residence. Born Oct. 5, 1948 in Columbus, John was a son of Raymel and Lois (Loveless) Eades. A lifelong horse trainer; John had worked in many states in America as well as privately training in Italy for three years. A member of the U.S. Trotting Association (USTA), the Ohio Harness Horseman's Association (OHHA) and the Madison County Horseman's Association (MCHA). John had won the Colonial Trot, the Kentucky Sires and started in the Hambletonian Race with his prize horse Tony Oaks. Survivors include his brother, David Eades; nephews and nieces, Greg (Barb) Eades, Marc Eades, Amber (Lawrence) Booghier, Megan Eades, Russ (Alice) Dillion, Lynn Dillion-Gyurcsik, Mike Dillion and Tim Dillion; many great-nephews and great-nieces; and dear friend, Peggy Beathard. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Dillion. In accordance with John's wishes, he is to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, with Reverend Steve Rodger officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be sent to the James Cancer Hospital (www.cancer.osu.edu/giving-back/ways-to-donate) for cancer research.
