Elizabeth <- William Perry <- Thomas Eugene <- Nathan <- Asa <- Barton <- Benjamin Shelby StarShelby, NC September 23, 2016 EARGEL CAMP KINGS MOUNTAIN-Eargel Perry Camp, 84, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Lemuel Malcom and Elizabeth Lovelace Camp. He was a member of New Camp Creek Baptist Church in Kings Mountain where served as a former deacon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Camp. He is survived by three sons, Perry Camp and wife Emily of Shelby, Jimmy Camp, Jerry Camp and wife Deborah all of Kings Mountain; one daughter, Sherry Martin of Asheville; one brother, Ben Camp and wife Becky of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Angie Camp, Travis Camp, Jace and Kiera; two great grandchildren, Destiny Camp, and Kaylee Drewery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, at New Camp Creek Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Richard Stroup. Interment will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
