This older Samuel was another one we didn't know existed until Mike Marshall sent me a 1745 document that is an estate record of an Anne Abernathy. This one doesn't say "list of debts". It says "Received From" and once again it reads like a who's who of Charles Co MD including Samuel Lovelace. Since the only other Samuel in this time frame was born ca 1732 (proven by a deed record), we know there is an older Samuel who had to be an adult by 1745. Consequently, he is in the same age bracket as Benjamin, Abraham, et al. and another likely son of the oldest John. We know absolutely nothing more about him, but he disappears from the records after this one document, so it's likely that he died. He's another candidate for the father of my Benjamin b 1727 mainly because he was there. But I lean more toward Benjamin of the 1733-1737 docs. Lou Ann
