The Samuel in question given by whoever it was on rootsweb was actually naming the children of Abraham's son John, so the birthdate given for him is pure guesswork, not based on anything substantial. Jack says: >>>>Lovelace, Samuel (#5150) (1732-c1799) (son of John (#71827) (1698-xxx))     wife unknown     father of:         1)  Pryor (b:1760-1765-d:c1835)         2)  Zachariah (b:1760-1765-d:1844)         3)  Elizabeth (b:1785-1789-d:c1829)         4)  George (c1787-1869)         5)  Samuel R. (c1789-c1855) I agree with Samuel;s kids, but not the father because Samuel, Luke and Phillip are JBL's brother as proven by deeds. In 1740 John bought "Lovelace Addition" in names of sons Luke, Samuel & Phillip. When John's wife Anne sold "Lovelace Addition" after John died, she specifically stated all but the 39 acres he gave his son John Baptist. JBL actually died before his father and I don't know what happened to that 39 acres. I haven't found a record of its sale, but it is not mentioned in JBL's will. So the father of these four which includes JBL is John with the wife Anne. There are a lot more documents which relate to this family, but it's Lovelace Addition that ties them all together. per Jack:] Lovelace, Samuel (#35645) (a1741-s1789) (son of William (1720-b1790))     died in South Carolina I don't have this guy and don't have a son Samuel for William b 1720
