Published in The Greenville News on November 5, 2010 Wanda Jean Lovelace Wood, 72, of 416 Belton Drive, widow of James Franklin Wood, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at AnMed Health Medical Center, where she received love and special care from the staff. Born in Prosperity, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Alpha Mae Guy Lovelace, of Piedmont, and the late Albert Joseph Lovelace. She was retired from Greenville Memorial Hospital, was a member of White Oak Baptist Church in Greenville and attended Beaverdam Baptist Church. She was a dedicated mother with strong Christian faith. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are daughters, Melissa "Missy" Gardo and husband, Robert of Pelzer, Jennifer Merideth of Piedmont; three grandchildren, Justin Glymph, Tyler Gardo, and Hunter Merideth. The family is at the home of Robert and Missy Gardo, 415 Ballard Rd., Pelzer and will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Funeral services and burial will follow in West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Operation Care, 3 Middleton Blvd., Williamston, SC 29697
