His death record shows his father's name was Roland, mother "Birthey" (probably Bertha). I haven't been able to find anything on Roland Lovelace in NC and neither has Bob. Gaston Gazette Gastonia, NC February 11, 2011 Alice Knight GASTONIA - Alice Davis Knight, 93, passed away Feb. 10, 2011, at Rehabilitation & Health Care, Gastonia . She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Murphy, daughter of the late Victor Monroe and Mary King Davis. Mrs. Knight was a member of South Gastonia Church of God and was also a member of several churches where her husband pastored. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at South Gastonia Church of God, officiated by the Revs. Bobby Gilley and Sam Barnette and Mr. Rick Black. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia . Interment will be at Westview Gardens , Bessemer City . She is survived by: her sons and daughters in-law, Roger and Judy Knight, David and Cathy Knight, all of Clover, S.C.; daughters and son-in-law, Betty and Billy Daniels of Gastonia, Kay Wilson of Clover, SC; son-in-law, Fred Lovelace of Shelby; daughters-in-law, Joyce Knight and Oma Knight of Gastonia; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
