    3. >From Legacy.com Published in Danville and Rockingham County on February 21, 2011 Floyd Lovelace Floyd U. Lovelace, 77, of 863 Melrose Avenue, Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2011. Born June 16, 1933, in Rockingham County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Willie Joseph Lovelace and Grace Lovelace Burchett. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and later worked in construction. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Lovelace, of the residence; one son, Floyd Lovelace, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, of Reidsville, NC; one daughter, Stephanie Lovelace, of Danville; five sisters, Thelma Adkins, Belwood Hyler, Aquilla Mangrum and Priscilla Nelson, all of Danville, and Sandra Foutz, of Roanoke; and three grandchildren. Funeral services officiated by the Rev. John Meadows, Rev. Kevin Emmerson & Brother Jeff Scearce will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with graveside military honors by the American Legion Dan River Post 1097 will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
