Okay. This is actually Cortez Pate who is the son of Evan Jackson , who is the son of James the orphan, brother to my GA Barton and grandson of old Barton from MD. I'm saying this from memory, but I have a message somewhere from someone who wrote me when I was researching the Teagues....these Teagues are related to Teagues here in Noble, OK....and I was given the informatio that Cora's parents were really mean to her and treated her like a slave. Terry, did you tell me that? I'll have to find the message. Usually I post things like that in my data base, but I don't have that one posted yet. Bottom line Eldridge Lee is one of ours: Benjamin b 1727 to Barton to Samuel to James (the orphan) to Evan Jackson to Cortez Pate to Elbert to Eldridge Lee. I missed Elbert as a child of Cortez.
