Bob, I was able to do a little more searching on this, but haven't had time to post. And I don't have time to put up the details, but here's the meat. Mable Smart Goddard was first married to a Henry Loveless from England, and she had children by him. One of those children was George. Henry came to the US in the late 1880s, and Mable came in 1907 (I think... pre-1910). They are in the 1910 census in Newcastle, DE. No idea what happened to Henry, but in 1920, Mable is with Thomas Neal. I'll try to post the details sometime tomorrow....
