Published in The Southern Illinoisan on March 26, 2011 STONEFORT -- Macarthur (Mac) Loveless, 68, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday March 24, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 3, 1942, in Wynne, Ark., to Elmer and Frankie Davis (Hill) Loveless. He was an Army veteran, who fought in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Loveless who was married Oct. 17, 2009, in Stonefort. He is also survived by, son Kevin Loveless; stepdaughter, Sheila Feltyl; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Zachary, and Gabriell Loveless; three brothers, Elmer Loveless Jr., Jerry Loveless, and David Loveless; two sisters, Velma Ann, and Emma Mae; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Edward, Elbert, Vernon, and Johnny Loveless; and baby sister, MaryAnn. Services are at 1 p.m. Sunday March 27, in Cosby-Sloan Funeral Home in Creal Springs. Burial will be in Simmons Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. with the Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
