Loveless who according to her words in a Civil War Application for a widow's pension was born in Mariah Tsp., Essex Co., NY---her father was of course, Daniel Dudley Loveless of Poultney Co., Vermont---and later Hadley, Saratoga Co., NY---his father of course, was John Loveless and mother his 1st wife---2nd wife being Eliza or Elizabeth Holden Hyde who he married in Poultney, Vermont in 1809 according to the church records---She had a son David Hyde who became a minister at the old Baptist Church where they are all buried---except Susan who is buried in Corning, NY with her daughter Cora's husband's family---I know this is an old story to you as you have revisited it many times---I hope you will bare with me as I apologize---for ever putting together the sheet on Daniel's family with Douglas as his middle name or Deutcher---I was young and dumb and even though I was almost posiive that it was Dudley an older lady convinced me I was wrong---sooooooooooooooo---I changed it believing I had to be wrong---about the time my Morman aunt placed that sheet in the archives---I regretted it---although most of the information is true or I thought was---lol---my grand parents were Hugh Mandelbert Palmer,  Dudley Mandelbert Palmer, Mandelbert John Palmer---My great grandfather Dudley was of course named after his grandfather Daniel Dudley Loveless---One of Dudley's other sons was Dudley too---as were other grandchildren along the whole line---as I'm sure your're aware of too--- Now I've written this from memory but I believe is mostly correct---as to my specific questions for that I need my notes---I just remember it had something to do with Daniel's siblings and John's family---I keep running into John "Neville"???? I do so thank you for reply with a a correct address---I will revisit this when I return home--- Sincerely,   Lorraine Barden
