Pearl <-Monroe <-Elijah <- Thomas <- Nathan <- Asa <- Barton <-Benjamin The Star Shelby, NC March 23, 2011 Mike Jerry Ware (2011) KINGS MOUNTAIN-Michael Jerry Ware, 67, a resident of Oak Grove Road, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. He was born Dec. 10, 1943, in Kings Mountain. He was son of late Frank C. and Pearl Lovelace Ware. He was preceded in death by sister, Virginia Stone and brother, Walter Ware. He was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and continued to farm for the remainder of his life. He was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Scism Ware of Kings Mountain; son, Paul Ware and wife, Noel of Statesville; daughter, Anita Ware of Gastonia; brothers, Jack Ware of Shelby, Buford Ware and wife, Stella and Bob Ware and wife, Betty, all of Kings Mountain; sisters, Annette Webster and husband, Bob, Kings Mountain and Polly Phifer of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Hunter Ware and Austin Ware of Kings Mountain, Holston Ware and Amelia Ware of Statesville.
