Robert <- Loyd Richard <-Asa <-William M. <-Green <-Nathan <- Barton <-Benjamin The Star Shelby, NC March 8, 2011 Robert "Buddy" Lovelace (2011) LAWNDALE- Robert "Buddy" Dean Lovelace, 66, of 5026 Polkville Road, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at his residence. Born Nov. 27, 1944, in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Loyd Richard Lovelace and Jessie Shirley Blanton Lovelace. Mr. Lovelace retired from Drexel Heritage after 43 years of service. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Richard Lovelace and Don Alfred Lovelace. He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Linda Morgan Lovelace; son Jerry Lovelace and wife, Tammy of Lawndale; two grandchildren, Kristin Lovelace Moses and Bryan Lovelace; great-grandchild, Malachi Moses; brother, T.C. Lovelace of Ellenboro and sister, Mildred "Sis" Lovelace of Bostic. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Big Springs Baptist Church, Ellenboro. Mr. Lovelace will be available for viewing in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
