Lovelace son of Elmer Lovelace son of Archer Lovelace son William Lovelace a mule skinner for the settlers of the Oklahoma Land Rush son of John Lovelace a pastor from Ohio whose youngest son served as a bugle boy in the Union Army. We are descended from four Irish pastor brothers who came to the US during the potato famine. Our predecessor went south and later settled in the Missouri territory, later a son went to the land rush in Oklahoma, we still own the land. During the second world war my grandfather Elmer Lovelace went to California for war work where my father, 18 years old, met my mother Dorthy Wanamaker of the eastern mercantile Wanamaker's. They married and my father William stayed in California when his family went back to Oklahoma. My folks were married 61 years and are now passed away. One son is a missionary in Nicaragua the other works for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in Ca. and a daughter living in Stockton Ca. I thought you might be interested in another branch of the family. Yours ; Larry Lovelace, Modesto Ca.
