I also have this family as descended from Thomas Lovelace and Amelia/Permelia Dyson, except through their son Levi and his wife Sarah Lazenby. I don't have children for the son Dyson. My info is from Michael & Susan Newton, but I think that the father is Levi may be speculationn based on the names of William's children. It appears that Levi's brother Dyson may be also a likely candidate. Here is some of the info I was sent on William. "Bill was born in Missouri. His mother died when Bill was very >young. Bill had brothers and sisters, names are unknown. Bill was taken >away by a neighbor, who taught him to steal. Bill was caught by another >neighbor and Bill was raised by that neighbor. If it helps, Bill was >tall, sandy red hair, blue eyes and known as an Irishman. > I know that he married Luisia Jane Owens about 1875 and they had >twelve children. Bill died 04/19/19." If it's true that his mother died when he was very young, Sarah Lazenby probably isn't his mother. Dyson was also in MO and I have nothing on his wife's death, but if he's descended from Thomas Lovelace of MD, the story of the four brothers from Ireland coming over here during the potato famine doesn't ring true. The names of his children feed the speculation of his line from Thomas because he has a son William Archibald and a son Flemuel Dyson. Levi also had a son Archibald. And of course Dyson is from the grandmother. William M actually had fifteen children, but I can't tell that any of the other names offer clues. Levi and Dyson also had a brother Archibald who was in MO too, but William M would have been almost 20 when Archibald's wife died.
