Published in Pensacola News Journal from January 21 to January 22, 2011 Annette Morgan White Loveless of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on January 20, 2011 after a short, but very courageous battle with cancer. Annette was born on October 1, 1925 in East Brewton, AL as one of two children to Elmer and Lollie (Black) Morgan. In East Brewton, Annette met and married J.T. White, Jr. J.T. joined the Army Air Force and they moved to several duty stations before returning back home to East Brewton. Following employments with Civil Service and the insurance industry, Annette began her career at Container Corporation and J.T. began his as an independent businessman. She moved her family to Pensacola, going to work at St. Regis Paper Company. In Pensacola, she met Carl Loveless and after a long friendship, they married. Carl retired from business and Annette retired from Champion International shortly after him in 1990. After retiring, Annette pursued her passion for flower gardening and baking, spending many hours in her yard and kitchen. Her family and friends will definitely miss her cookies, cakes, and pies, especially at Christmas. She and Carl enjoyed traveling during their later years, and would "set out" with no itinerary or reservations, just a road map, stopping to smell the roses when they wanted to. They enjoyed each other's company and were best friends until he passed away in March, 2008. In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by her first husband of twenty years, J.T. White, Jr., her husband of thirty two years, Carl Loveless, and her brother Maxwell (Buddy) Morgan. The family will receive friends for visitation at 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Stan Heindel officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mother's name to Covenant Hospice or The Pensacola Humane Society. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff at the Joyce Goldenberg Inpatient Hospice Residence for their tender and compassionate care of Mother during her final days. Annette was a special woman to anyone who knew her. She was independent, strong, and courageous. She loved life. She loved her flowers, birds and turtles in her backyard, but more than anything she loved her family. Her smiles, practical jokes and caring attitude will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. HARPER MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
