    1. [LL] Obituary of Dennis Joe Loveless - UT
    2. bgsroots
    3. Dennis Joe Loveless(1940 - 2016) 1940 ~ 2016 Dennis Joe Loveless was born in Payson, Utah on June 21, 1940 to Anna Dale and John Parry Loveless. Dennis passed away on October 28th, 2016 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He is survived by his three children, Denise (Michael) Druce, Daren (Melodie) Loveless and Sheri Braithwaite; his sister Margie (Lee) Guest, 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. We loved Dennis so very much. The lightheartedness and humor made him a joy to have around, especially at family parties. Dad was an entertainer. His musical talents were remarkable. He could play any song on any musical instrument that he was handed. Dennis was a math, music and art genius. He loved to teach us, we called him our walking encyclopedia. Dennis drew pictures and wrote stories until one week before he passed away. He loved music, poetry, art, being with friends and family history. He was fascinated by the stories and details of our ancestors and had a deep respect for those who came before him. He loved telling stories from the past. He played a huge part in tying our family together through genealogy work. He enjoyed being alone. His strong affinity for independence was a part of his demeanor until the day he passed away. "I'll do it myself!" were some of the last words he spoke. He loved figuring things out himself and he always seemed to make things work, no matter how broken or frail they became. He took great pride every time he could save a dime. He was a recovering alcoholic and helped hundreds of others by his example and his encouraging words through his leadership and participation at Fellowship Hall in Salt Lake City. We will all miss his jovial and quirky personality, and his energetic love for life. Memorial services will be held on Wed. November 2. Viewing from 10-11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary (587 South 100 West in Payson, UT) followed by a gravesite ceremony at Payson Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Funeral Home Walker Mortuary - Payson - Payson 587 South 100 West Payson, UT 84651 (801) 465-3846 Published in Deseret News on Nov. 1, 2016

    3. Hi cuzzins. I just got word that I was subscribed to the list. an explanation: I unsubbed myself and then resubbed a couple days ago to see if that would work. And it apparently did. So let's hope that things for our list are back up and running. Wanda and Bob, I know you both have a ton of obits to post. why don't you each try to send a couple, and let's see if they go through. Fingers crossed. Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg

    3. It's nice to have the list back up. The storm report reminds me of when I first joined, more years ago than I care to admit. And right off the bat I discovered the small world-ness of genealogy when it turned out that the only other active list I had joined was moderated by a Lovelace lister. Peace all, Nancy Caton In California where we thankfully only have earthquakes. And no anticipation. Well, I finally figured out, or think I did, how to post to the list. I'm being required to use my gmail address to do so, and I just don't understand why my "part-of-the-tree" address won't work <sigh> How many of you are getting list messages? Most of what has made it through and gotten posted are the obits from Wanda Rabb and Bob Stewart. Thank heavens they're still able to post! Let me know by personal email ( greg@part-of-the-tree.com) if you get this message. I want to see how many people are still having problems with Rootsweb. Well, as I sit here typing this, Hurricane Matthew is churning its way toward the east coast of Florida. Susan, Sara, Susan's mom, and I have spent the past two days prepping for the possibility of Matthew's visit to the SC lowcountry. The latest track forecasts have the storm running up the coast to Savannah, GA before making an abrupt turn to the east and heading in a circle to hit the Bahamas again as a tropical storm. Talk about wacky! We're expecting some tropical stomr force winds and a lot of rain, but it looks like the brunt of the worst weather will miss us. So I wanted to try to touch base with all of you. Keep us in your thoughts, as you do all those in the path of this nasty piece of weather. Take care, and I'll check in when I can.
