Is anybody familiar with the couple Henry H. Selters & Rachel E. Loveless. They were married in Denver, Colorado, on 13 Sep 1905. They had a son named James Albert Selters b: 30 May 1912 in Center, Rio Grande County, Colorado; d: 02 Jan 1997. On the 1910 census for Rio Grande County, Colorado, Henry is 38 years of age, born in Illinois. Rachel is 32 years of age, born in Illinois; her father was born in Tennessee; her mother was born in Tennessee. It appears that Rachel E. Selters died in Los Angeles County, California (possibly in Pasadena) on 05 Feb 1936 and is buried in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Monte Vista, Rio Grande County, Colorado. Rachel's full name may be Rachel Eleanor Loveless. In particular, I want to determine if Rachel is the daughter of Zadock Thomas Loveless and Mary Jane Edwards. -- Jack D. Lovelace

List, Soooo, could we turn this around and use this situation as a learning experience for me. I could sure use some help. Greg has a certain set of great skills, and many resources, and a lot of good experience, if he could just take just a few minutes of his time to take a look at Abram/Abraham and even William and Betsy. I am sure Greg has some info on Abram/Abraham and William from all of the list activity. Or something on James F that would be proof of his lineage. I know that the info on James F lineage is just what you might call “hearsay”, but that is all that I have to go on. My researching abilities are quite limited. He might be able to uncover some document that would come up to the Genealogy Proof Standard (GPS) That would be of great benefit from me and a few others on the lists and turn this into a positive situation. Thanks for any help, Tom

List, Knowing the TOTAL VOID of documentation (smoking gun), other than what I have found, considering no other person on the list (almost no one) on the list has come up with ANY other documentation on William or has presented to date, anything that I know of to dispute what Jack D. has found, with all things considered I accept what is the Bio on James F, and what Jack has found. I trust what Jack D. has found. Like I said I am not a professional, but, as far as I know of there has not been any professional look at William’s line, that I know of. It might not be to professional standards, but it is the best that I found. NO ONE HAS TO ACCEPT MY INFORMATION AS THE GOSPEL. That is all I know. Tom

Tom, As I mentioned in my post, the only documentation that I have on William & Elizabeth is from the Biography (which is not complete) and the 1790 and 1800 census records for William. I have attributed the children who are not mentioned in the Biography to William & Elizabeth for the following reasons: 1) They are found in Dutchess County and/or the surrounding counties. 2) Their ages match (or are a close approximation to) the ages of the children counted on Williams census records. 3) I have not been able to attribute the children to other parents. Records exist to prove the existence of all of the named children. I have not (yet) found any records that prove, or disprove, a connection to William and Elizabeth.
