    2. Betsy; Now I am very curious, years ago in my youth, I was very involved in Arabian Horses. I knew of the history of a Homer Davenport who imported Arabians and Lady Ann Blunt, who was not exactly a fan of his. I have never heard of Lady Ann Davenport. It sounds like I better check out the message board archives. Is there a Royal Lovelace connection of some kind. Homer Davenport was from Oregon if I remember correctly. Sheila Kell

    2. Jack; As I said when I sent that first message this is quite a bunch of paperwork I am dealing with. The notes included with it said Lawrence Lee Lovelace was born in Washington County. On the 1930 census he is living with his parents but his father James William is listed as William, they are in German Township, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Census is Enumeration District 3-14, Supervisors District 11, Sheet 8B, on Ancestry.com it is image #16 of 23. Here is a (not proven) descendant list as I have entered the information I have from the paperwork. I do have a copy in the papers of the marriage license - but it only states James Lovelace & Anna Lockhart. Lawrence states numerous times his grandfather said his middle name was Moses. Nancy usually used Anna or Annie rather than Nancy. 1910 census she is listed as Nancy A., 1920 census she is Anna N., 1930 she is Ama. 3. Hello,Jack. My kit # is 173703. My father was Oscar Loveless, his father  was Bluford Marion Loveless, his father was Thomas James Loveless, his father was Thomas Loveless and finally, my ggg was Thomas "Good Tom" Loveless (1776)that married Virginia Roy in 1810. They hailed from Pulaski County Ky... our family farm was located on King Bee Ridge Ky. near the Cumberland Plateau. My tests traced us back to the Dorchester England group,I like to think, possibly the Loveless Martyrs of England. Can't find Good Tom's father yet. Hope this helps. 1. [LL] Monday afternoon
    2. Hello, cuzzins, from the Sonoran Desert in Arizona!  We flew into the Phoenix airport Friday evening and have spent the last couple days exploring and hiking in the desert.  So far it has been an exceptional vacation, dining on authentic Mexican food and trying to soak up some of the nature and culture of this place.  It is different from any place I have ever been, which is one reason I really wanted to make the trip with my wife Susan.  Unfortunately, she had to begin working today, so I took off to the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, AZ, for a morning of watching waterfowl and trying to get a handle on some of the bird life around this area of the southwest.  Now I'm going to try to go through some of my pictures of people and documents from my genealogy collection and try to weed out duplicates.  I'm hoping to finally get a good start on connecting some of these in my database to the people to whom they pertain. Good discussion on DNA testing.  Sorry I haven't contributed, but Lou Ann has hopped in.  Sheila, as William stated earlier, he descends from Good Tom.  If you think your friend  might be from the s ame line, a 24- or 37-marker test might tell you for sure.  I'm hoping Jack will hop in, or maybe even David, if he can take a short break from caregiving put in an opinion.  I think you may have received a link to the DNA study page in the welc ome email you got from the list.  If not, I can try to send that to you later.  I'm using  my wife's computer for internet on this trip, since wireless isn't free at this resort  >:-(  The  results page shows the break down of families of those who have been tested, and it might be helpful in determining whether a test is a good idea for your friend. Later, all.  Time to go get a drink of water.  It is DRY here in the desert for this ol' ocean man! Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg

    3. Sheila, I do not have a Lawrence Lee Lovelace b: 1828 in my database. Also, I do not see one in Washington County, Indiana on the 1930 census. Could you let me known the name of Lawrence's father and grand-father. I might have them in my database and I could check out his ancestry. I do have a James Moses Lovelace/Loveless b: between 1881 and 1890. I do not have any descendents for him. James line goes: Cyrenius G. Loveless, John Loveless, Zachariah Lovelace and John Thomas Loveless. I have not been able to identify the ancestor of John Thomas. 1. [LL] Family pictures
    2. Something I forgot to ask, is there any place folks the Pulaski county groups have pictures on line? There are a number of pictures in with all this information and I have no idea who most of them are. The usual problem of no one writing anything on them, a couple are quite early (around 1900). One is a very large group of people standing in front of a building (possibly a house) . It is very faded. I do have one of Lawrence Lovelace when he was in the military during WWII. Sheila
