    2. Afternoon Cuzzies, Magnificiently beautiful day here.....clear, lots of warm sunshine, after somevery cold nights. Gonna go sit in it a minute for some healthful rays and Vit.D before Da Game w/ Da Bears and Da Packers.....long known as "the"shootout in sports. Have been working on my very steep learning curve of investments, stockmarket, annunities, IRAs, bank trusts, et. al. And, when your brain is mush,it's not easy. One of the things I didn't know about is that when someoneclose to you leaves, your brain goes south for abt. 6 mos. Your ability tocritically think, analyze, learn anything new just isn't there. Your memoryalso goes w/ it. Everyone sez.....it will all return in abt. 6 mos. Well, thisis true. And, I'm welcoming back my brain w/ open arms!! But, also not to be dwelled on, Ole Buckley was very intelligent, very welleducated, as am I.....disregard the fact that I don't use it very much. But,why didn't he explain a bunch to me? Yew boys out there need to get toteaching your wives what's going on and why.....otherwise we are at themercy of the Charletons.....and I'll *garrantee* there are a bunch of those outthere!! I have accummilated a long list in the past 6 months! Have a good one! I'm off to the game! Buckette

    1. [LL] Obituary of Annette Morgan White Loveless - AL > FL
    2. bgsroots
    3. Published in Pensacola News Journal from January 21 to January 22, 2011 Annette Morgan White Loveless of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on January 20, 2011 after a short, but very courageous battle with cancer. Annette was born on October 1, 1925 in East Brewton, AL as one of two children to Elmer and Lollie (Black) Morgan. In East Brewton, Annette met and married J.T. White, Jr. J.T. joined the Army Air Force and they moved to several duty stations before returning back home to East Brewton. Following employments with Civil Service and the insurance industry, Annette began her career at Container Corporation and J.T. began his as an independent businessman. They added two daughters, Charlotte and Jaye to their family during that time. In 1963, Annette found herself a young widow at age 36 after twenty years of marriage. She moved her family to Pensacola, going to work at St. Regis Paper Company. In Pensacola, she met Carl Loveless and after a long friendship, they married. Carl retired from business and Annette retired from Champion International shortly after him in 1990. After retiring, Annette pursued her passion for flower gardening and baking, spending many hours in her yard and kitchen. Her family and friends will definitely miss her cookies, cakes, and pies, especially at Christmas. She and Carl enjoyed traveling during their later years, and would "set out" with no itinerary or reservations, just a road map, stopping to smell the roses when they wanted to. They enjoyed each other's company and were best friends until he passed away in March, 2008. In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by her first husband of twenty years, J.T. White, Jr., her husband of thirty two years, Carl Loveless, and her brother Maxwell (Buddy) Morgan. She is survived by her two daughters, Charlotte (James) Gullatt of Pensacola, FL and Jaye (Dick) Griswold of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren Monte Key, Brian Powe, Dwight, Pam, and Matthew Griswold and one great grandchild. She also leaves behind a sister in law, nieces and her constant companion rescue kitty "Bandito". The family will receive friends for visitation at 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Stan Heindel officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mother's name to Covenant Hospice or The Pensacola Humane Society. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff at the Joyce Goldenberg Inpatient Hospice Residence for their tender and compassionate care of Mother during her final days. Annette was a special woman to anyone who knew her. She was independent, strong, and courageous. She loved life. She loved her flowers, birds and turtles in her backyard, but more than anything she loved her family. Her smiles, practical jokes and caring attitude will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. HARPER MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.

    2. Delos W. Lovelace >From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Delos Wheeler Lovelace (1894-1967)[1] was the author of the original novelisation of the film King Kong (1933). That novel was published in serialized form in Mystery Magazine in 1932 and in book form later that year by Grosset & Dunlap, slightly before the film was released. Lovelace was a reporter for the New York Daily News and New York Sun in the 1920s and was the husband of Maud Hart Lovelace, author of the Betsy-Tacy books for young readers. Lovelace was the author of some two dozens[citation needed] books, including a biography of football coach Knute Rockne and one of Dwight D. Eisenhower; he also co-authored three books with his wife. 1. Re: [LL] Fwd: Lovelace family
    2. I also have this family as descended from Thomas Lovelace and Amelia/Permelia Dyson, except through their son Levi and his wife Sarah Lazenby. I don't have children for the son Dyson. My info is from Michael & Susan Newton, but I think that the father is Levi may be speculationn based on the names of William's children. It appears that Levi's brother Dyson may be also a likely candidate. Here is some of the info I was sent on William. "Bill was born in Missouri. His mother died when Bill was very >young. Bill had brothers and sisters, names are unknown. Bill was taken >away by a neighbor, who taught him to steal. Bill was caught by another >neighbor and Bill was raised by that neighbor. If it helps, Bill was >tall, sandy red hair, blue eyes and known as an Irishman. > I know that he married Luisia Jane Owens about 1875 and they had >twelve children. Bill died 04/19/19." If it's true that his mother died when he was very young, Sarah Lazenby probably isn't his mother. Dyson was also in MO and I have nothing on his wife's death, but if he's descended from Thomas Lovelace of MD, the story of the four brothers from Ireland coming over here during the potato famine doesn't ring true. The names of his children feed the speculation of his line from Thomas because he has a son William Archibald and a son Flemuel Dyson. Levi also had a son Archibald. And of course Dyson is from the grandmother. William M actually had fifteen children, but I can't tell that any of the other names offer clues. Levi and Dyson also had a brother Archibald who was in MO too, but William M would have been almost 20 when Archibald's wife died. 1. [LL] ISP Problems?
    2. Listers, I got the following from another list. Wondered if anyone here has had a problem? I belong to a rootsweb list owners list, and today has been a lot of talk about subscribers to lists from ATT/BELL companies being wholesale unsubscribed from people's lists. So far, nobody knows what the problem is, but it is not at rootsweb. This has not affected our list yet, and I hope it doesn't.  But, if it does, I wanted to warn you if your ISP provider is a Bell/ATT company. Rest assured I am not unsubscribing anyone.

    2. Mornin' Cuzzies, It's abt. the Governor's race here in Texas.....newspapers this morn announcedthat abt. $100 mil was spent by candidates in primaries, etc. to win. Now, excuseme, I have to wonder if being the Gov. of Texas is worth that kind of money, and ifso, why? Maybe I don't get it....I wouldn't spend 25 cents Meskin money to be theGov. Then in the next article, it's all about all the programs offered and collegesand education that's gonna be done away with because the state coffers are empty, hurting lots of Texans who will lose their jobs. We the People didn't get out thereand spend the money so we don't have much anymore; the legislaturers did. And,why did they do that? Is it because they voted for more and bigger and better andmore expensive programs because companies and individuals standing to benefitgave the office holders money to vote the way they did? Doesn't seem like We thePeople are getting a fair shake, huh. And, better than that, the pundits who writethese stories don't even get or see the irony in having these two stories side by sideon the front page. Sometimes you gotta wonder how stupid really are We the People. As you go abt. your rat killing today, it might be good that your left hand knows whatyour right one is doing. o : Have a good one! 3. The information that I have in my database does not exactly match what Larry has submitted. I have Larry as Larry Neal Lovelace, son of William E. Lovelace and Dorothy Gwen Wanamaker. I have William E. as the son of Elmer L. Lovelace and Verna E. Archer. I have Elmer L as the son of William Archibald Lovelace and Cora Belle Walker. I have William Archibald as the son of William M. Lovelace and Louisa Jane Owens. At this point my information and Larry's information diverge. I have William M. Lovelace as the son of Dyson Lovelace and Louisa Cawan Fite. I have Dyson Lovelace as the son of Thomas A. Lovelace and Amelia Permela Dyson. I have Thomas A. as the son of Charles Lovelace and Sarah Robey. I have Charles as the son of John Baptist Lovelace and Eleanor Wilcoxen. Bill Lovelace wrote: > I received this email. 2. Mornin' Cuzzies, Haven't abandoned you.....I'm caught up in a mess w/ a condo in SanAntonio that's being rented. It has just been fraught w/ one prob afteranother. It's been emergency, have to do at the moment stuff...for days! Super football on the week-ends....how 'bout playing in all that snow andcold?!! Not me! I don't care what they were paying me! Weather is tolerable. In 30 days Houston will be showing sprigs ofspringtime. And, the cat crew.....down to 3 now.....are humming right along. Hopeyou are, too! ( : Buckette

    3. Hi, folks And hello to Merilee Kleiber <mepiper@gotsky.com> Welcome to the group, Merilee. When you get comfortable with us, let us know who you're researching, and we'll do our best to help you connect. In the meantime, feel free to dig in our archives, and be sure to visit our website at <http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lovelace>http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lovelace Our online library of Lovelxxx documents, narratives, and pictures is an ongoing project to which we add as time allows. You can access it right now by clicking on the "Documents" button on the left margin of the main page. And our y-chromosome DNA study has proven very successful in unravelling the confusion surrounding several of the colonial American Lovelace and Loveless families. The results are posted both on the FamilyTreeDNA website (<http://www.familytreedna.com/public/lovelace/>http://www.familytreedna.com/public/lovelace/) and on our own DNA website (<http://dna.satmel.com/results.html>http://dna.satmel.com/results.html) Take a look! We now also have a companion website on MyFamily.com. If you're not familiar with that organization, to go <http://www.myfamily.com>http://www.myfamily.com and read to find out a little more about it. If you'd like to be invited to join that site, please email me at < <mailto:greglovelace@comcast.net>greglovelace@comcast.net>. Glad to have with us :-) Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg
