Hi Max, We have corresponded before and I saw your note on Elbert and his daughter Wilhemina with interest. I'm descended from Quinton James Loveless through his son, William Asbury Loveless. For Elbert Wells Loveless, you gave birth 10 Feb 1845 and death 7 Feb 1883. My information shows different birth and death dates for him. My sources are: 1. The genealogy work written by Myrtle Loveless Foster in 1847. Do you have a copy of this? She was the niece of Elbert Wells Loveless and the daughter of William Asbury Loveless. She wrote: "Elbert was born August 24, 1846 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. He was married to Mary A. Vinson, August 10, 1870. To this union five children were born. He was a member and Steward in the Methodist Church. He died February 10, 1884." 2. The 1990 cemetery transcription for Old Woodbury Cemetery in Hill County, which also gives birth as 24 Aug 1846, and death as 10 Feb 1884. The transcription is found at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txhcgs/oldwoodburycem.htm This is your line, so you may have more accurate information. I am interested in learning more so I can adjust my records. Thanks, Martha Genealogy - So many ancestors...so little time! On Feb 16, 2011, at 7:57 AM, Max Westbruck wrote: Something interesting. He accidently sent a message to the list that was suppose to go to a friend and a couple of people got all over his case about it. His apology apparently was not enough, so he un-subbed.
Mentions son-in-law Fred Lovelace, who according to Bob Stewart is the son of David Sankey Lovelace. Does anyone have information on the parents of David Sankey Lovelace? His death record shows his father's name was Roland, mother "Birthey" (probably Bertha). I haven't been able to find anything on Roland Lovelace in NC and neither has Bob. Mornin' Cuzzies, Please forgive me for not being around as much as usual. I've been sobusy keeping up w/ mah steep learning curve of having to fend for mah sef.I would suggest if you don't know how to do any of these thingees, you getto crackin' 'cause it's all gonna settle around your neck sooner than later. The tech stuff: telephones, remote controls, showing movies off a disc, fax machines, air conditioning and heating settings.....nooooo, Ole Buckleywas da Captain around here, did all of that. I would help him w/ his puterfrom time to time as he cussed it! CPA's <ours had conveniently left the earth's plane prior to OB's departure>,stock markets, IRA's, annunities.....knew nothing abt. At least I could fill upw/ gas and had the oil changed on my car.....many widows couldn't even dothat. The metals market....knew a little abt. that. Have learned in the meantimeall salesmen are liars. Though I know swimming and horses, we aren't in that bidness. The only otherbidness I know anything abt is the oiyle bidness. Daddy was a geologist; OBwas a petroleum engineer. I tended to Momma's properties before her death, and OB would laugh at my phone conversations.....said I was an absolute gorilla!Right after OB bid adieu, our minerals got hotter than a pistol! Nothing could bemore exciting! That has taken a lot of time, lots of research, lots of conversations. So, the rookie cookie is just humming right along here, but very, very busy! In mah spare time I'm ripping out the kitchen where I'm gonna move to.....that'sanother no brainer because I know the drill, but it does take time and manydecisions. No, and the distance between Houston and San Antonio is no prob. So, know I looove you.....Ah just be really busy at the moment! Have a good one! Buckette

Mornin' Cuzzies, If we are as cold as we are, which is in the 20's, then everyoneelse in the country has been iced over for days! At least whenthis is over on the week-end, we will be thru for the winter.....andeveryone else is liable to catch it again. You know you are getting old when it even matters to you what theweather is like. Used to, I'd wake up and take on, head on, whateverit was.....didn't give the whole weather scene a whole lotta thought.I remember crawling in Daddy's car for my ride to school and it wouldtake the thangee 15 min. to warm up inside the car. Now that wasn'tmuch fun! Seems to me I hear that Oklahoma really caught it this go round! The one thing I'm ever grateful for is having no livestock. You had totake care of them first, and that little job was a c-o-l-d one, and it wasn'tsomething you could get done in 5 minutes either! ) : Have a good one! Buckette

Mrs. Martha Adeline Lovelace, daughter of the late William and Melissa Mudd, was born near New Hartford, August 28, 1873 and departed this life at her home at Gazette, late Thursday afternoon, December 30th, after an illness of several weeks durations, at the age of 75 years, four months and two days. She was the widow of Henry Lovelace to whom she was wed at Ashley, and to that union five children were born: all of whom survive to mourn the passing of their loved one. They are Mrs. L. O. Thorpe of New Hartford: Claude of Bowling Green: Ray of Gazette; Everett of Vandalia and Harry of Bellflower. Mr. Lovelace died a number of years ago. In addition to fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Corena Reese and a brother, Ivy Mudd, with whom she lived at Gazette and who administered to her every comfort during her illness. Mrs. Lovelace spent her entire ife in the vicinity of her birth where she had a large number of other relatives and a host of friends by whom she will be remembered as a devoted mother, sister, kind and considerate neighbor and friend. The large attendance at her funeral services and the many floral pieces were a silent tribute to her many virtues. She attended the rural schools and at an early age professed her faith in Christ and became a member of the Methodist church at Gazette and during her lifetime remained a true and loyal member of that congregation. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, January first at the Gazette Methodist Church with internment in the Central union cemetery near that place. Appropriate music was rendered by the church choir. The casket bearers were her grandsons, Clarence Deppe, Junior Lovelace, Paul Lovelace, Gene Lovelace, Joseph Thorpe, and Raymond Thorpe. We extend sympathy to the bereaved family and friends. Henry Lovelace was the son of Jasper Newton Lovelace>Zachariah R. & Sarah Lovell>Zachariah Rhodam & Lucy Webster
