There is no proof of any kind of Sarah's surname, but speculation has been rife for Robey, Orme and Collier. The Collier comes into play because Benjamin got land from a Collier and the wording of the deed led to speculation that Sarah was a daughter of that man. However, I found several deeds from that same Collier to several different people and all of them were worded like Benjamin's. It appears that Collier was leaving the state when he sold all that land, but it was leaving his options open in case he wanted to return. The deeds were all worded in such a way that he could come back to the land at some point in the future if he chose. I've tried to find the families near them who had some of the same names in them that they named their sons, but so far I've not really found anything very definite. I truly don't think there were two marriages. That sounds like something that may have come from LDS stuff sent in by various people. They will post info like that from more than one source and it ends up looking like two marriages, when in fact it is just different info from different people and then someone else has come along and posted it like two marriages. 2. Mornin' Cuzzies, I'm so apologetic that y'all are such orphans! I'm so completely on overload in order to make this move to San Antonio. Right now I'm designing a kitchen there by email. Oh, yes! And, it's coming right along....thank you very much! ( : And, I'm here to tell you.....we need to take everyone out who ever voted abt. anything having to do w/ oil, GOP or Dem, socialist or Communist, red, blue, purple.....in other words all of them, and shoot them! We've more oil in this country than you can shake a stickat! I'm 3rd generation Texas oiyle chick and I oughta know. I don't know why politics dictates that 60% of what we use is imported at sky rocketing prices......who are we paying off and why? During WW II, 90% of the oil produced world wide was from Texas. In the meantime and during the last yr., there's been a South Texas discovery called the Eagle Ford which is 2 1/2 times bigger than the Bakken....which isthe biggest in the US.And, we haven't even gotten into Anwar. It just don't make nooooo sense, folks! Have a good one! Sit on your front porch instead of driving around or ask your legislator some tough questions! Buckette

    3. The genealogy work written by Myrtle Loveless Foster in 1947, The Genealogy and history of the Loveless family, is available through the Family History Library. You can order the microfilm at your local Family History Center. The film # is 1317398 Item 3. I have not heard either of the stories about Elbert's death. Have you checked the old newspapers in Hill County, Texas? I have a copy of Mary Ann's widow's pension application, but I haven't looked at it in years. Here are the notes I made: Texas Confederate Pension Application #44011, by Mary A. Loveless “Served 15 mos. Inlisted Feby 1864, surrendered May 1865, Thompson’s Company, Morelands (?) Regiment, cavalry Witnessed by Carl Rountree and M. M. Morris Affidavit of service by W. S. Williams and J. W. Leatherwood - served with him in Company F, 32nd Mississippi Cavalry Dated 5 Apr 1928, Filed 6 Sep 1928 Lamesa, Texas I should pull it out and look at it again! I wonder who W. S. Williams and J. W. Leatherwood were? Elbert's nephew married a Williams girl and two of her brothers married Leatherwood girls. All of them lived in the same area of Texas and had moved there from Mississippi. One is that he "just got sick and died" the other is that he was injured while having timber cut into lumber at a saw mill, with a terrible cut on the leg. The big oil discoveryis right here in Texas between San Antonio and Laredo.....and it isHUGE!! Enough to supply us forever. We can forever laugh atwhat the Arabs are doing.....we don't need their stuff! But, thepolitics of the US, and may I sincerely say.....not just this administration, but, in several preceeding it, dictate politically that we keep importing.....to supply who w/ what, but definitely not in the best interests of We thePeople. And, do you know about it? Nope! There are over 50 rigsdrilling as fast as they can right here in one county......the reservoir ismamouth! The only thing we do know is that the IRS will send in anarmy of people after this thing.....period. Ah! Life in these United States is certainly not what it used to be! Y'all have a good one.....don't begin to believe everything you read in theprint medium! Buckette

    2. Mornin' Cuzzies, Noooo, I haven't run away from home though it may seem like it.I've been in San Antonio working w/ kitchen designers, architects, and contractors in an attempt to turn Momma's condo there into mine. It's stuff I love to do although I wish I had more time to think about itthan I do. I haven't been on that highway in awhile, and I found it very interesting. It's much, much more crowded than it's been in the past, mainly withtrucks. And, I couldn't help wondering why.....if we are in an awfulrecession and many are out of jobs, why are there so many, manytrucks....showing commerce, products in demand and being bought.I found that really strange. However, people say it's very slow all overthe country, but not in Texas. Texas is booming! I will say the drivershave considerably cleaned up their act.....no nutty driving like there usedto be. Only saw one, and he wasn't that bad.....just a really impatient kid. Inspite of all the traffic, I surprisingly made really good time going bothways..... Long week-end.....hope y'all have some really fun thingees planned! ( : Buckette
