    1. [LOVE-L] Can you identify this Jeremiah Love?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xcx.2ACIB/1945 Message Board Post: I found this listed under the heading of Norweigians in the Civil War: Love, Jeremiah, Age 40 WI. 15th Inf. Co. G. Enlisted for three year on Jan 2, 1862 at Beloit and mustered in at Madison. He was a private who was discharged from service at Mississippi River Island on Sept. 5, 1862 for disabilities due to a disease. His residence was listed as Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin. We know this is NOT the Jeremiah Love, son of Clinton Love, who was born in NY in 1836, and who later moved to WI, where he married Phoebe Alvira Runyan in Janesville, Rock Co., in 1858. He enrolled in WI infantry Volunteers, 37th Regt, Co. F at Portland WI on March 23, 1864 for a period of three years, mustered in on April 19, 1864 at Madison and mustered out at age 29 as a corporal in Delany's House, D.C. in July of 1865. Online sources state that Richard Love and Charlotte Rose Love had a son named Jeremiah born in NY 1802 who died in Rock County, WI but his date of death was in 1852, so he is ruled out also. What were the ties, if any, between these Jeremiah's, who lived in and around Rock Co., WI in the same timeframe? Most of the Love lines I have researched in trying to find our Clinton Love's roots have been tied to the Scotch-Irish and the English lines. This Norweigian line is a new one for me. Can anyone enlighten me? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Shirley
