I am a new subscriber to this list and need help in locating the parents of my grandfather John William LOVE. I have very little information on him. Name: John William LOVE Sex: Male Father: Unknown Father 1 LOVE (bef 1855-abt 1889) He may have been a sheriff or deputy sheriff in St Landry Parish. Family stories indicate that he was killed trying to break up a bar fight. Mother: Unknown Mother #1 LOVE (bef 1857-) His mother worked for the railroad after his father died. She was probably employed in the cook car.
