Our family made the landrun into the Cherokee Strip in 1893 and they were living in Kay County, Oklahoma in Blackwell which is about 9 miles from Tonkawa at the time that your family was there. Our ggrandfather Jeremiah Love had a younger brother named Albert, Most of Albert's children settled in WI, and MT., but one son, Joseph Clinton Love was born in South Haven, KS. in 1898. South Haven is just a few miles north of Blackwell, OK., where we currently live. Joseph Clinton Love married Martha Pearce. There was another son of Albert's born in 1895 named Edward Love, but he died as a small child. John Edward Love, another son, was born in 1904, probably in South Haven, Kansas also, but my information shows that he died in MT. He married Ada Pfeifle in 1932. Jeremiah's son, George Love was our grandfather and he had two sons, Edwin Ellsworth Love and Ernest Michael Love (our father) who were both born in KS. before the Land Run in 1893. I am wondering if your Loves might have been descendants of Edwin Ellsworth Love. I could find only three children for him: George T. Love 1906 Claud Ellsworth 1907 Elizabeth Louise 1909 Just a few years ago there was a Bob and Ginger Love who had a doughnut shop in Blackwell, and I think earlier in Tonkawa. My husband's mother mentioned that they were distant cousins.....I do not know who Bob's parents were, but I thought he sprang from either Joseph Clinton or John Edward Love. Do any of these names sound familiar to you? 'Shirley Love
