He was the son of Gabriel Love, who with his brother Adam migrated to the colonies ca. 1730. I have lately received information that Robert Burnett, with his second wife Sarah Belcher, had a son Isaac (1746) who married Ester Merriam. Their daughter, Arner (1763 Warwick MA) married John Love. It is know that Adam and Gabriel Love had a brother, John, but it has never been confirmed that he immigrated to the colonies. I am wondering if this John Love might have been their brother, or was he perhaps the son of either Adam or Gabriel. My brickwall is Clinton Love, and I think he is from the same line of Loves as the Irish immigrant brothers, but I have never been able to tie him to either Adam or Gabriel. It is suspected that his father's given name was John, since the custom was to name the oldest son after his paternal grandfather and Clinton's first son was John Love. Thomas and Sarah Burnett Love did have a son, John (1764) who was supposedly born after this family moved to RI. My information lists two children for him, Solomon and Mary, but the name of his spouse is unknown. Can anyone help me with any information about the Burnett/Love marriages and their descendants?
