He was the son of Henry Clinton Love (1848 Jackson Co, WI) and Susan Palmer Love (1851 Warren Co. PA.) Richard married Ethel Arlene Avey in 1921, and he died in Billings, MT in 1953. Richard Howard Love's siblings included Sylvester Henry Love who married Lola Belle Morris; Alida Love, who married Al Burien; Oren Love, who married Pearl Simpson; Maude Love, who married Lester Huntington, Otto Hall and Frank Brooks; and Rachel Love.
