About Love y-dna testing. We have two men who have tested who match and have a paper trail to Joseph Love/Mary Teas son Samuel, through Samuel's son Isaac. We have one Y-dna test from a descendant of Joseph Love his son John Love and his son Jeremiah Dungan Love. This test does not match the other two. (In fact we have 3 men... if one will concede that the two to one match proves he descends from Joseph/Mary Teas.......but that is another discussion. ) My conclusion ... correct me if you think I am wrong. 1. Since the two men each named LOVE, match we have scientific proof and a good paper trail that proves that Joseph, his son Samuel and his son Issac were genetic surname LOVE. 2. Fact---- we are sure that Joseph was a genetic LOVE, and we can NOT be sure that any of John Love/Orpha Dungan children were genetic LOVES, or that any Love born into that line since were genetic Loves. (this is also my own line) The member of our group who's Ydna did not match, seems to be descended from a man named WITT. 3. If you are a male LOVE or can find one from the Joseph Love/Mary Teas line other than his son Samuel. We need someone to test. 4. Without further proof of your line, you may not move further back in time from Joseph Love and even if your paper trail leads to him, it may be wrong. 5. We started the Ydna testing for a good reason. We wanted a good paper trail and scientific proof of our Love Lines. For many of you , it has provided just that, but for others it has brought a lot of uncertainties and more hard work. I know there are those of you out there who descend from Joseph through John Love / Orpha Dungan . I ask ... where do we go from here? If any of you are descended from Joseph's sons Robert, William G, or David tests from someone in those lines would be welcome too. Mary
