    3. The original Robert Love's son, William, was killed 1780 at his home in SC dur. the Rev. War., along with his son James. His son Thomas escaped to MS where he married into a Chickasaw tribe. I don't know if anyone else has posted this, but these items below are from (www.rootsweb.com/~marsha/church/chickmin.html, a Marshall Co., MS, genealogy site: "Records of the Church Session at Monroe Chickasaw Nation" which was established in 1823 by Hugh Dickson of the Presbytery of SC, commissioned by the Missionary Society of the Synod of SC and GA to establish a Mission. There are quite a few Chickasaw Loves, Boyds & Colberts listed, and I think you will find spouses and children you might not have known about. It seems Ben Love and some of the Colberts had trouble behaving! If you copy and paste it into a Word Document, it is 4 pages. Katheryn Record of the Church Session at Monroe Chickasaw Nation 1823 The Rev. Hugh Dickson of the Presbytery of So. Carolina, having been commissioned by the Missionary Society of the Synod of So. Carolina and Georgia, to visit Monroe for the purpose of examining into the state and prospects of the Mission united on the 29 of May 1823. The Mission family, having a desire to be united in a church capacity that they may regularly enjoy the privilege of the sealing ordinances of the gospel, expressed the same to Mr. Dickson. Accordingly on the 7th of June 1823, a church was organized consisting of the following members, viz., Hamilton V. Turner James Wilson Nancy Turner Mary Ann Wilson Ethalinda Wilson Prudence Wilson (not a member of the mission) Susan Stuart Owing to our peculiar situation, the usual, made of acquiring certificates of dismission and good standing from the churches to which the members had respectively belonged, was dispensed with the Rev. Thomas C. Stuart, Superdt. of the mission was nominated as stated supply. After the exercises of the day, a session consisting of the Rev. Messrs. Blain and Wilson, assisted by Father Dickson, convened in the prayer hall. LOVE July 1st 1832. Mr. Spencer was baptized, also Agnes infant daughter of Benjamin and Letty LOVE. January 5th 1833. Session convened and was opened with prayer. Ishtemaye a native member of our church having for a long time absented herself from the ______ of ______, and giving sad evidence that she is yet in a state of sin and ____ the _____ darkness was excommunicated. ______ a Chickasaw was also excommunicated for the sin of fornication, the following persons having been guilty of _________ against God and this church, were suspended from its privileges, viz., Thos. F. Cheadle, Mary LOVE, Wm. H. Barr, Nancy COLBERT, and Syke. T. C. Stuart, Modr. April 5th 1834. Mr. Benjn. Godfrey and wife ______ and son James Alfred were received as members of this Church by certificate from the Church at may ____. Two Elders having been elected and ordained, on the evening session met and was opened with prayer. The following persons having been under suspension from the privileges of the church for a length of time and giving no evidence of repentance, but continuously _______, were solemnly ex-communicated, viz., Molly Gun, Nancy COLBERT, Sallie Fraser, James B. Allan, Benjn. LOVE and Saiyo. Feby. 24th 1839. Session met at the call of the moderator. Present Benj. Godfrey, Wm. Spencer. Constituted by prayer. Mr. Godfrey was appointed to represent this church in the next Presbytery which is to meet at Starkville on Thursday the 4th day of April. Resolved that the funds on hand, which have been raised by the sale of Bibles, be ______ in the purchase of more Bibles; and that in future, until otherwise directed, our congregational contributions be sent to the Board of Missions of the General Assembly. The following members were dismissed to join the Holly Springs Church, viz., Mrs. Charlotte LOVE, native Chickasaw, Nancy and Jenney, black people. Adjourned sine die. T. C. Stuart, Modr. Saturday June 14 1828. Session met according to adjournment. Constituted. TC Messrs. James B. Allen & Daniel Carr, white men, James COLBERT & Benjamin LOVE, Natives, and Manual, a black man were admitted to the privileges of the church on examination. Adjourned to meet on the 28 June. Concluded with prayer. July 6. James B. Allen, Benjamin LOVE, Manuel & Fanny and Esther were baptized. Martyn. August 25. Session met and was opened with prayer. Mr. Henry LOVE a native and Mr. Christopher Moore and Miss Polly Allen, white, applied for admission to the church. This examination being satisfactory they were received. Concluded TC. August 24. The persons admitted on Saturday were baptized. Also the following children, viz., Elisabeth Mitchell infant daughter of Rev. W. C. Blair and Susan Blair; Sally & Dorothy children of Christopher Moore, Amanda, John, Elvira, ______, Charlotte, Frances, children of Henry and Sally LOVE. July 6th. Session met for the examination of candidates & the following persons having given evidence of their change were admitted to the privileges of the church, Lotty LOVE, Nancy BOYD, James Fory and William H. Barr � Chickasaws, ____, Rachel & Tom, people of colour. July 5th 1829. The persons admitted yesterday were baptized and also the following children � Elisabeth Jane BOYD � daughter of James & Nancy, Narcissa daughter of Benjamin & Lotty LOVE, Sarah Rebecca daughter of James & Sarah A. Holmes, and Sam, child of Leah. October 1st 1830. William COLBERT�s wife, Kunneayi and Mercury an old black man, were admitted to the church. The following children were baptized. Dicy COLBERT�s son Steve Prince & Lydia�s children, Almina, Robert A., LOVEy, Betsey�s girls Liley & Lucinda. Aaron Gleason, Clk. Martyn 30th April 1831. Baptized Thos. C. Stuart son of Nancy and James BOYD, Luke, son of Christopher and Katharine Moore, and David, son of Henry & Sarah LOVE. Martyn March 22 1828. Session met and was opened with prayer. Mrs. Sarah LOVE applied for admission to the communion of the church. Her examination being sustained she was received. Adjourned TC BOYD July 14th 1833. The ordinance of baptism was administered to John David son of Samuel and Nancy BOYD. Oct. 1st 1842. Session met at the call of the moderator. Present Wm. Spencer. The following persons were received by letter, viz., Wm. McLarty and wife Sarah & daughter, Jane; Mr. John R. BOYD and Novr. 22, 1828. Session met Martyn according to adjournment and was opened with prayer. Mr. James BOYD applied for admission to the church. Having given satisfactory evidence of a work of grace upon his heart he was received. Adjourned to meet at Monroe the Saturday before the second Sabbath in Decr. Concluded TC. Novr. 23. Mr. BOYD was baptized, also James COLBERT�s two children Benjamin and James Holmes was baptized. July 6th1829. Cyrus Byington convened with the following persons with reference to their admission to the Church, viz., Edmond Pickens, Sally Fraser, Nureka COLBERT, Disey COLBERT, Betsey (creek woman) and Amy & Syke, colored people. These persons appearing ______ were, on the Sabbath baptized and received into the church. W. H. Barr�s infant daughter Belinda was baptized. At the monthly concert for prayer the Monday evening following the sum of $14.68� was contributed for the spread of the gospel. June 5th 1830. The following were received into the church, viz., James Perry, Tuppeha, Ishtemaye, Toshkai, Apokti, Pohaiki, Mrs. Mary S. COLBERT, Mrs. Charlotte James, Molly (creek woman) and Frances, coloured woman. The following children were baptized Nusika COLBERT�s two sons, Thos. Stuart & George Washington, Betsey & son, Alexander, Tuppeha�s daughter, Venus, Mrs. James� son, Walter, Sally Frances� two children, Barry & wife & Elsey, Miller�s Caroline & Benjamin, Frances� daughter, Susan, Mobile & Laney�s daughter Louisa, Lilpha�s daughter Rebecca. October 1st 1830. William COLBERT�s wife, Kunneayi and Mercury an old black man, were admitted to the church. The following children were baptized.
