No one seems to know anything about Thomas, the son of Robert (b.c. 1700). Some have said he was the one who married M. Guthrie, but that was Robert's grandson thru son John. However, look at this: 1741: "I appoint that my son Thomas shall live with his Mother & the Rest of the children During pleasur att the Dureation of my Exort(?)." [Source: Excerpt from Will of Robert Love, Lancaster Co., PA. Will Bk. A, Vol 1, pg. 61] I found a Thomas Love of Lancaster Co., PA, from Revolutionary War records who might have been a grandson (thru William, James or John). On the other hand, if Thomas who was to live with his mother when father Robert died (according to will) and he was born c. 1740 just before the will was made out, he would be 35-40 years old during the Rev. War. In that case, this could be Robert's son. 1777-80, private, Lancaster Co., 7th Btn, Co. 5.
