William Kerr born about 1737 and married Nancy Love (b. abt 1740) in Ireland. They then emigrated about 1769/70 and arrived Westmoreland County, PA before 1775. John Sprowls born about 1748 and married Elizabeth Love (b. abt 1753) in Ireland. They emigrated about 1794 to Philadelphia to Carlisle, Pa. In 1794 they moved from Carlisle, Pa to Washington Co , PA in 1796 , Allen Twp. Then in 1810 when they moved to Finley Twp. Edward Morton was born was born 1739 in Fermanagh, Ireland and married Jane Kerr. He and Jane emigrated with his brothers to PA in 1765. An Edward Morton together with Thomas Morton and William Morton appear on the 1785 Tax List of Belfast Township, Bedford Co., (now Fulton Co.)He and Jane ended up in Somerset Township, Washington,Pennsylvania . Robert Kerr was born in Ayrshire, Scotland about 1747 and in 1770 he went to Ireland where he met and married Jemima Morton in 1771. They emigrated 1772 to Carlisle, Pa. via Philadelphia. The then moved on to Washington Co., PA by about 1774. I think that Nancy and Elizabeth Love are sisters or cousins but have not been able to find Irish records. I also think William Kerr, Jane Kerr and Robert Kerr are also related to each other. Lastly I think that Edward Morton and Jemima Morton are related. The Robert Kerr's children and grandchildren married into the these Sprowls, Morton and Love lines. I think all these lines trace back to Scotland and especially Ayrshire. Anybody know of any connection between the Love girls ? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
