Ira Belle Davis (1900-1976) Adrian Claude Love (1920-1991) m. Myrtle Mae Williamson (1921- ) Raymond Eugene Love (1942- ) Now here’s my situation. Until DNA testing came into the genealogical bag of research, no thought of there being something different then the above Love line ever crossed my mind. The FTDNA test does not connect me to any other Love line, as expected. Nor does it verify a connection to my own line. One or two of the Loves tested seem to connect to Joseph’s brother, Samuel. And I don’t match those tests. Okay, “What in the Sam Hill is going on?” is the constant thought. Since the original test of 25-Markers I updated to 37-Markers to find I match exactly through 37 Markers with family names of WITT, SMITH, JOHNSON, PRATT and 1 Marker off with a MILLS. A 67-Marker update skews the results to show I’m at least 1 Marker off from all of them. FTDNA cannot give specific answers to questions as to when or what the deviation is. On another testing program I match 26/26 with an AMBERS. Why so many different names? I’m on the watch in all the other family sites for anything that would provide a lead. They are all very active in research but none have progressed as far back in time as what I have for information. Nor have any shown a concrete connection. Lots of speculations. Some have similar or same surnames in their lines but no connections have surfaced. It looks like, using the FTDNA most common ancestor information, some event occurred (a guess)between the late 1700s and the middle 1800s. An adoption, indenture, miscalculated conception, loss of parents, or whatever; I just don’t know. The Johnson line ancestor, slave connection, was born in 1820 so it seems something had to have occured before then. I ask, on bended knee with hat in hand, if anyone has information that might lead to a connection with any of the known family surnames, please post. I wonder how I can help in having another DNA testing on the Joseph Love and Mary Teas line, that is testing of some one in my family. I think the line is broken, but let me go over a possible (two ideals.) (Wardwell) Allstott, had eight (8) girls and three boys; I think the line is broken for DNA testing with girls. How about the 3 sons, could the line be open for testing? One son, had 2 daughter; next son had 2 girls (1 living) and 2 boys (both deceased); next son had 3 sons (all living) and 1 daughter (living.) Another question??? John B. If a child of Catherine Phariss, maybe we could check through my brothers DNA.....as Catherine Phariss, is of my fathers Phariss line. Which doesn't make much sense, but is a thought. Another thought: Hannah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Love's brother married into the Chickasaw Loves.....which goes back to William Love. I wish I could be of more help on this testing, but I'm sure because of the female line, the DNA testing is out of the question? What do you think?
