My direct LOVE line: Sarah Lewis, daughter of: Alta Marie PALMER [1932-1997], daughter of: Edgar Lawson Palmer & Agnes WEBB [1906-1994]- who was the daughter of: William Scott Baker Webb & Clara Mabel SMITH [1875-1952] - who was the daughter of: Wallace Garner Smith & Diana Adeline LOVE [1846-1908] - who was the daughter of: Margaret Wear & Alexander Preston LOVE [1810-1863] - who was the son of: Mary Lewis & Isaac Love [1753-1854] and as I have posted recently: My LOVE brick wall: Isaac Love, b.6 Sep 1783, in Virginia; married Mary Lewis, daughter of Mordecai Lewis and Mary Segler (Ziegler) - married in Sevier, Tennessee. (Children: William King, James Thomas, Alexander Preston, Andrew Martin, Mary Lewis, Mordecai Lewis, (baby girl), Reuben Blount, Sally KenCannon, Isaac Moore, Elizabeth Thompson, Catherine McDonald, Margaret Mitchell Wear, John Wesley) *I have had one source tell me that Isaac Love was the son of William Love and Susanna McDonald - both of Ronoake Virginia, but, it seems no one else has ever heard or seen record of this William Love. According to the information given to me regarding William Love - b. abt 1756, his children: Joseph, William, John J, Mary, Catherine, Isaac [my Isaac?], and Andrew. - these children all born between 1775 and 1785 - in Virginia. *I have had a few suggestions that this William Love - who married Susanna McDonald - might well be the son of Joseph H. Love and Margaret Bryan. I know that Joseph Love and Margaret Bryan DID have a William Love, born abt 1756, but I know nothing else about him. Can anyone add to or dispute this information?
