There are numerous "Lost Loves" in and around the area where James Love from VA to Cabarrus County NC lived. This James married Mary Ingram, daughter of John Ingram of VA. Before removing from VA, this James sold his land in Charlotte County VA to a Charles Love. No other record on this Charles. But what if he were a brother, and what if he died and his child or children moved on with their Uncle James? That could have happened. Also, ca. 1794, a petition was signed by James Sr. and James Jr in support of the formation of Cabarrus County NC. This younger James may be the namesake son of James Love of VA to Cabarrus. He might even be the same James Love who moved to Campbell County GA and left a will naming son Ingrahm Love. We DESPARATELY need DNA on the descendants of this James Love in GA. And there is yet another James Love. In 1821, when old James Love died in Cabarrus, there was a younger James who also died. Their estates are seriously mixed up in interpret! ation. This young James served in war of 1812 and left a pension. He may be the son of old James Love's son Thomas, or the son of a son who died young... There are other possibilities... There is a John Love who appears in Union County and a Martha Love there too whose links to the greater family are not known. These may actually be siblings to your Polly. Note that there are way too many females with the name Love getting married in the early 1800's area of Cabarrus County NC. There is more to this than we know and can prove. > From: "gc-gateway@rootsweb.com" <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> > Date: 2007/01/31 Wed PM 04:49:04 EST > To: <LOVE-L@rootsweb.com> > Subject: [LOVE] Jno LOVE m. ? They had a daughter named, of course, MARY (Polly) LOVE, prob born bef 1795 in NC. Was this, maybe, a sister of John LOVE b.1790 who had a son named Ingraham LOVE? This Polly LOVE married my 3rd g. grandfather Joseph Honeycutt/Hunnicutt before 1827 in NC. Feel free to e-mail me.
