There was a Jefferson Love who was b. in SC and moved to Madison Co. MS who was a grandson of the Alexander Love of York Co., perhaps a brother to James the "weaver". There was a Robert Love who was born in SC and moved to Madison Co. MS in about 1807, and m. 2nd Sallie Catching. Robert was a son of Alexander, and an uncle to Jefferson Love. Both Robert and Jefferson, and their families, are in the 1850 census of Madison Co. MS. My g-g-g-grandfather John Love, who moved from SC to Madison Co. MS in abt 1830, lived on Love's creek in Madison Co. MS. I have long believed that he had some sort of relational tie to Robert and Jefferson Love, son and grandson of Alexander Love. Jefferson was the son of William Love, son of Alexander and brother to Judge Robert Love. If there is any tie between this Jefferson Love and the Jefferson Love in #9129, then there may be a tie between #8302, who is likely in the same line as Alexander Love. I am #8336, and would like to find some tie to this Love line that came from Scotland or Ireland to PA in the early 1700's, then to SC. Can anyone shed any light on any of this? Thanks. Bill Love of Galveston.
