Good morning LOVE'rs, Have been reading all of the interesting posts this morning on our DNA Project, (AND LOVING IT I MIGHT ADD!!!!!!) So, I thought I would add my mystery to the witches brew that we have going. <G> Starting with William Hiram Love b. 1801 NC d. Mar. 6, 1885 Habersham Co., GA. I, along with several others believe William Hiram to be the son of Christopher Love, b. abt. 1770-1775 to John Love and Sarah "nee Sharp" Love of Mecklenburg NC. Although we have lots of speculation and conjecture that William is the son of Christopher, and our Christopher being the son of John & Sarah, we still lack that one piece of solid, conclusive evidence. ***Some of our thoughts: *On the 1830 Habersham Co., GA census we find a Christopher Love, but can not find him on any later censuses. *On the 1840 Rabun Co., GA census we find David Green Love "The Elder", a brother to William Hiram, with a male listed as being 60-70 y/o. That would put the older fellows birth as being bet. 1770-80. Leading us to think that it could be Christopher. *In 1839 David Green "The Elder" has his oldest son that he names William Christopher, we believe after his father and brother because William Hiram names his first son, David Green Love. (b. Mar. 31, 1836 by some accounts in Rabun Co, and others in Habersham Co., GA)(Also, David Green "The Younger" is my GG-Grandfather) *Although I have heard people say, but have been shown no proof, that Christopher, one of the youngest sons of John Love & Sarah Sharp, moved South because of his religious beliefs. Anyone that can shed a little light on this out there? I invite all to share their lines, as someone else may have a missing clue for you.
