    1. [LOVE-L] SOME OF MY LOVE QUESTIONS
    2. Here are just a few thoughts and questions on my Love line Notes on the parentage of William Hiram Love b. 1801 NC d. March 6, 1885, Habersham Co., Georgia. Ø William Hiram Love is long thought to be the son of Christopher Love whom is found on the 1830 Habersham Co., GA census, but not found on any other later censuses. Ø On the 1840 Rabun Co., census, David Green Love "The Elder", younger brother of William Hiram, we find an older male who we believe to be the father of William and David, or David's wife. Ø We believe this Christopher Love to be the son of John Love and Sarah "nee Sharp" Love of Mecklenburg Co., NC. This Christopher being named in John Love's will of 1791, as being left the plantation to him and his brother, David. Ø Another thing that leads us to believe that the Christopher Love of the 1830 Habersham census is the fact that David Green Love, "The Elder", named his first son William Christopher Love and William Hiram named his first son, David Green Love, after his brother. Ø We found Christopher on an earlier census in Iredell Co., NC in 1810. On this census it shows Christopher with 2 sons being born between 1800 & 1810. William Hiram was born 1801 and David Green "Elder" was born 1809, both in NC. Ø We have not been able to find Christopher on an 1820 census anywhere. Thinking that he could have been in transit from North Carolina, Southward. Ø I have seen various references that Christopher left NC because of his religious beliefs, although I have seen no hard proof. Ø We know where Christopher was in 1800, 1810 & 1830 and believe him to be staying with his son on the 1840 census, but where was he between 1810 - 1830? One possibility is South Carolina. We have found a Nancy Love that mar. Ransom Fuller, and believe her to be the older sister of William & David as listed on the 1810 Iredell Co., census. Ø Another place could be Alabama, as he had a brother Samuel that relocated there with his and his wife's relations. Ø If it is true that Christopher left NC, because of his religious beliefs, that further leads us to believe him to be the son of John Love and Sarah Sharp, as Sarah was of the Quaker faith. I. What was the name of Christopher's wife? II. Where was he between 1810 & 1830? III. When did he die? IV. Where did he die? V. Was there a will left, if so where and when? VI.
