I think her father was Thomas Love SR and Catherine Johnson Love Thomas was born 1804 and died possibly on 4-25-1902...I am not sure this is the right father of John J Love born in Watauga County,NC...Thanks Linda Church Flanary

John J. married first Louisa Swift and second to Nancy Caroline Lunsford. John's father is Thomas who married Caroline Johnson in Wilkes County. Thomas is the son of John and Martha James. John served in the Amercian Revolution on behalf of his father James Love. James, born in VA is the son of James who died 1800 Stokes County NC. James Jr. removed through Wilkes and settled in Cabarrus County where he became quarter owner of Reed mine. Of interest, several of James Love's children settled in Cabarrus, Stanly and Union County NC. In 1850, there is a Thomas J. Love in the census of Union County. He is listed as being born in Wilkes County. This has to be one of the descendants of John, son of James.
