Dear LOVE LIST, PLEASE give me a chance. I' m resolved to get to the bottom of this mass of information, and sources...coordinating some old research and references. Have been flamed in private and chastized in public. I am now contrite. AND NOW MY PEACE OFFERING: There may be two, related lines of Loves originating (in this country) from Va & going to N.C.with some going on to Ga and possibly some to Ala. The second group with some similar names, seems to have gone from Va to Tn to Ark and Texas. It is even possible they may both have a connection to the ones in early Pennsylvania. (there also seems to be a Scottish branch and an Irish branch ....could turn out to be the SAME branch. I'll be sorting what I have and trying to make some sense of this...in the most semiprofessional and good-humored way possible. (with references you can check if known ).
