I have gone back through many old notes and find two schools of thought as to whether John was his father....after reading about all the many Davids, I think that your book may be right. This has taught me a lesson....shut mouth until ALL references checked. The only thing I need to cement it is the DATE of JOHN's birth... Because it has been said twice that David was in the wrong time pd. to be his son. True, thier death dates are within 7 years of eachother, but that is certainly possible.
