A granddaughter, Phoebe King of McKean Co., PA aged 70 made affidavit 3 April, 1854 and stated she was born in the family of the soldier John Love and lived in said family until 1797 when soldier died in Kent County, RI and where he had lived during the Rev. War. (Soldier was born in RI.) Soldier's widow, Lovina Love died in Kent Co., RI. (No death date of age given for widow.) Can anyone tell me which John Love this might be? Was he the son of Adam, Gabriel, William, or some other Love? The Irish immigrants settled in Coventry, Kent, RI for a while; and there was a John Love, son of Adam, who married Lavinia Tree, but I am almost certain he is not this soldier, in spite of the similar spelling of the wife's names. I need help in identifying the father of the soldier as well as his son (the father of Phoebe Love King.) Thanks for any and all help. Shirley
